servicei.exe killing server

Hi any one know about the servicei.exe
My server is rebooting automatically by itself
the wins server can not be started.

Can you do a search on the server hard drive to find the location of the servicei.exe file. The folder may give a clue to what the application is and for.

Also, look in the server services window to see if any services are running that start the servicei.exe file.

This looks very much like a piece of malware, possibly a variation of the sasser worm.

If the above doesn't help, you can try using tools like Spybot S&D

and adaware

Then, also download and use hijackthis, post the log to the hijackthis site in the empty space, at the bottom of the page click on "analyze", then on "Save Analysis", and post a link to the resulting page here.

To be able to work without the server restarting, you may have to remove the network connection until the problem is resolved.

Thanks all i could not get back email went down too.
We cured effected two servers and one other PC...brought the whole company to a stand still.........was a very long night.

I don't see anything out there yet on it...must be new.

I managed to just rename it .
