Try http://allwaysync.com/
It is free and it is working for me.
i'am doing me syncing between desktop, notebook, server with viceversa pro (http://www.tgrmn.com/) ...has really nice features, and can even resolve simple conflicts...
could always try a batch file solution
first you would need to get the program robocopy from microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&DisplayLang=en

then make a batch file that is as follows
robocopy /s /m /r:2 /w:5 /XO  "c:\documents and settings\%username%\My Documents\" \\desktopname\sharepoint\
robocopy /s /m /r:2 /w:5 /XO \\desktopname\sharepoint\ "c:\documents and settings\%username%\My Documents\"

what this should do is move any file that has the archive bit set and then unset the archive bit and copy the files over, ignoring any file that is newer than the destination.

Hi riscy,

try http://www.allsync.de/en_index.htm. It's a professional software available in many different versions, home professional, business... on all Windows versions. Price from 20 Euro up.
We're using the business version for many of our company notebooks and it's great. Lots of configuration options, protocols and so on. And it's constantly developed further with good email support. I just can recommend this software.
I use FileSync which is shareware you can get at http://www.fileware.com/index.htm (this will do exactly what you want). it's pretty basic and simple to use and i've been using it to do exactly what you're talking about. i was very cautious initially as i didn't want to lose any information but now i trust it and haven't had a single problem.
