Warcraft-III on Battlenet.com

We have two computers and we have Warcraft-III and Frozen Throne. My son is using reign of W-III original disk  and I use W-III:FT disk. You can play Frozen Throne if you have any.

My son is playing on Battle.net and I decided to try as well, but when I tried to log-in, I got a message saying that "the CD key provider is currently in use by *MyPCName*, when I start using it, my son has the same message... We have of course different accounts. Is there a way to play together on the Battle.Net??

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is because you are both using the same CD key for Warcraft 3. The Frozen Throne is simply an expansion which has its own CD Key - it does NOT replace the CD key for Warcraft 3. You need a unique CD for both WC3 and TFT. The only way round it is for you to buy another copy of Warcraft 3 and use that CD key instead.
It is possible for you both to play at the same time, however it is not possible for you both to play on the same server. When you have just started the game, click on the magnifying glass next to the Battle.net button. One of you change your server. This will mean that you can both play a game at the same time, but you can't both play in the same game. You will also have to have a separate account for each server.

that's right, if found it practically right away about different gate-ways, yet it's pitty you can't do it on the same servers,
