Capital Letters in Outlook

I am using Outllook 2002 SP3.

When I need to send a new e-mail - Everything I type is in Uppercase.
But when I reply on a mail it works fine.
My caps lock is off.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Jarrod_Daniel,

Check if Microsoft word is being used as the email editor
go to tools > options > mail format and uncheck "Use microsoft word to edit email messages"

See if that solves the problem.

Your NORMAL.DOT may be screwed up. It's where the default font is determined, among other things. ( I recommend Plain Text. Less trouble.) Maybe the font is set to "all caps" or so. Strange, but possible.

Besides, you're using HTML, right? Do yourself a favour and use Plain Text, that will solve your problem. If you want a long list of other reasons, I'll type them up for you ...

Excellent answer sunray

Seems like when Word is the default editor for Outlook , any changes made in Word are applied in Outlook.

Thanks for the extra effort zolcer...
