Migrate Master Domain Controller to a new server

I want to migrate our first domain controller in the active directory to a new server. The new server will also be running Windows 2003.

What are the steps involved in doing this type of operation?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

From a Windows 2000 domain or is the old server also a Windows 2003?
If it's a Windows 2003 just transfer the FSMO roles to the new server.

The old server is Windows 2003 as well.

So I should make sure the new server is a domain controller first?
