How to move address book from one Blackberry to another--can it be done?
OK weird situatuion: my boss--who is absolutely clueless--is out of town and has a Nextel Blackberry 7510 that wont work--in the meantime they have mailed him a new Blackberry 7520 and now he wants to migrate everything from one to another. Is there a way a can migrate his address book from one to another? I am about 500 miles away so I have no physical contact myself, and as I said he is clueless. Is there anything I can do via his webclient or something he could do if I talked him thru it? I am anything but a Blackberry expert, but I am trying to learn and any help would be greatly appreciated.

with desktop manager you can also use backup and restore...the 'advanced' option lets you selectively restore just the items you want (as in 'contacts', not individual contacts...)
that's what I've used for people changing devices...

Jammy,
That's another way to go....if the user was at his desktop....but he is on the road, 500 miles away...and wants to know if there is a way to move his contacts directly from one handheld to another (replacement)
I had thought about bluetooth, but as far as I know, the BB bluetooth handhelds only use BT to connect peripherals...headsets etc....and are not equipped for BT data transfer.....any thoughts on that? It would certainly be handy in more than one situation.

yeah, I don't think the BT allows for data transfer like that, just using BT headsets and such...(could be wrong!)
It won't help you right now, but had you been usng a BlackBery Enterprise Server (BES) you can backup his handheld and then restore it to the new one over the air.
Like I said, I know if won't help you right now, but this will contribute towards your learning.
