Recommendations for Firewall for WinXP

Anyone has any recommendations for a Firewall for Windows XP?

I'm quite sick of ZoneAlarm problems.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you're using SP2, why not use the built-in one?
Here's a list of others:
Including Kerio, Sygate, & Agnitum
Yes, no reason not to use the built-in one. I've generally found it to be trouble-free and is easy to configure.
Hi jedistar,

If you have a router, you already have a hardware firewall blocking incoming traffic.

sirbounty and r-k, is the built in XP firewall the same for SP1 as for SP2?  I have not try the one in SP2.

CompTIA Cloud+

The CompTIA Cloud+ Basic training course will teach you about cloud concepts and models, data storage, networking, and network infrastructure.

The one for SP2, imo, is much have more control over what ports you allow onto your network...
The Windows firewall built into Windows XP SP2 is pretty basic and does not effectively filter outbound connections, i.e. Spyware...

A commercial package such as Symantec Internet Security would give you much more comprehensive protection.
All the XPs firewall are a Stateful Packet Inspection type firewall. Both SP1/SP2...But the SP2 is more "corporate-type" firewall...

You should start with Windows XP SP2 Firewall.  If you need anything more advanced, please let us know.

I like Kerio 2.15 personally over all the other firewalls for a software solution.  It's mean and lean with what an firewall admin wants without getting into the big boys.  Perfect for the home user who wants to protect what goes in and goes out.

SP2 has a pretty good firewall also built in.

Try outpost from Agnitum, think they have a free download, always worked wee for me and good reporting.

Wouldn't trust SP2 firewall as too limited and only prevents incoming and not outgoing. So any trojan/etc files present on your system will still be able to talk to outside world...
