Cisco VPN Possibilities

I have my PIX 501 setup to allow for a VPN connection.  Once connected an IP address on the internal network is assigned to the remote user.  I can run remote desktop and connect to the internal servers so far only by IP address.  I cannot use the internal name.  I am also unable to map any network drives on the remote PC.  I would like to be able to VPN back into the office and run e-mail and gain access to document stored on various network shares.  Is there anything else that I have to configure?  What am I not doing or what am I doing wrong.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you configured DNS for your VPN clients?

It will be listed as a setting in vpngroup

Are you being assigned a dns server name when you logon

from a command line -
ipconfig /all

The entries for DNS in the firewall are from my offices' ISP.
Are you using a DNS server inside your network?  If so set this as the DNS server in the vpngroup for vpn users to utilise.  When you login and receive this address, you should be able to ping by name once you are able to see the DNS server.
