The problem is that beta version of WSUS could be installed on any platform, but it was changed in final version - just to make people to buy the server.<br />

I know that it was possible to install SUS on non-server machine simply by extracting installation package and removing error message. Is there any way of installing WSUS on windows 2000 or XP? I know that it's different and uses SQL server, but maybe someone solved this problem successfuly :)<br />

How to install WSUS on XP machine?
