Quick way to center text in a box?

I'm making a navigation menu. I've made a rectangle and put text in it. I'm making about 5 of them and every time I have to slowly center the text in the box by eye. Is there a way to have photo shop auto center the text in the recatangle?
Thanks

Hi los123,

Yes. When you lay the first text block, use the Paragraph menu to change its justification to Centered. If the text is centered, anything that you retype will remain centered.

Good Vibes!

Hai...There is alignment option for centering the text...

I Method...

Easiest option is as follows..

1. First you might have created a rectangle for making a button....Now...just choose the rectagle layer and choose the checkbox option (show Bounding Box) in the top panel (you can see this option panel below the menu panel...right)...Now your rectangle have guided with center point with 8 box points...right...

2. Now type the text in another layer. After finshing typing when you choose "Move tool"...You can see the bounding box around the text.....right

3. Ok..Now choose the bottom layer First and link the text layer throught Layer Pallete...

4. Now goto option panel which is in the top (below menu panel)...You can see the alignment option there....

5. Choose among the options for alignment...( choose the center button for vertical alignment among first 3 option and choose center button for horizontal button for alignment among next 3 option...)

6. Now your text is align centerally...right

II Method.

1. First you might have created a rectangle for making a button....Now...just choose the rectagle layer and choose the checkbox option (show Bounding Box) in the top panel (you can see this option panel below the menu panel...right)...Now your rectangle have guided with center point with 8 box points...right...

2. Now choose the guide and put the guide based on center of that rectangle....( Now you have center point...right)

3. Now type the text in another layer....You can see the bounding box around the text.....right

Biny, I tried to follow your  method II, but I cannot find this check box you refer to: "choose the checkbox option (show Bounding Box) in the top panel (you can see this option panel below the menu panel...right)".
