One of my clients stupidly got excited that we one the bid for the olympics and decided to send out over 2000 emails with the joke attachment of a picture of the Paris bid t-shirts being sold half price.<br />

This has ground their exchange server to a halt.<br />
<br />
I can see all the messages in the queue and if I stop the SMTP service then we can get out onto the internet, however as soon as I start it again, the emails start flooding in. &nbsp;Most of these emails are message delays, some undeliverables.<br />
<br />
I have disabled the connections on the default virtual SMTP server queue, but the mails keep piling up as fast as I delete them.<br />

Any ideas as to what I can do experts? &nbsp;I have SBS2000.<br />
