network shares only allow 1Gb worth of space

Hi, i'm running an SBS2003 server. the problem is. we have some shared folders that are then drive mapped to the workstations as drive w and g.
When we try to copy file to them they are coming up with no disk space. the server has a 72Gb drive that has 40Gb free. i haven't set any limits to the drive or shares.
One thing we do have thou is 2 MAC's. which i have shared the folders for the MAC's as well.
Is there any chance the shares are limited to the MAC share section ?
if so can i increase it as i can't find a way to do it.

You're sure there are no disk quotas set?  (Right Click on the disk or share -> Properties -> Quota Management tab.)
