DefaultView sort does not work

Hi,

My sort does not have any effect.
The code looks like this:
'dt is a dataTable
Dim row As DataRow

dt.DefaultView.Sort = "YearWeek DESC"

For Each row In dt.DefaultView.Table.Rows
  Debug.WriteLine("YearWeek:" & CStr(row.Item("YearWeek")))
Next

The out put looks like this:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:2005-24
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:2005-24
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:
YearWeek:2005-24
YearWeek:2005-29
YearWeek:2005-24
YearWeek:2005-24

Can you help me?

/Morten

That is not how it works :-), try this

dim dv as dataview
Dim row As DataRow

dv = dt.DefaultView
dv.Sort = "YearWeek DESC"

For x as integer = 0 to dv.count-1
  Debug.WriteLine("YearWeek:" & dv.item(x).item("YearWeek")
Next

or

dt.DefaultView.Sort = "YearWeek DESC"
        For x As Integer = 0 To dt.DefaultView.Count - 1
            Debug.WriteLine("YearWeek:" & CStr(dt.DefaultView.Item(x).Item("mytext")))
        Next
