intermittant profile loading error with XP pro

I have a workstation that I upgraded to XP pro from Win2k. Now, when the user logs off at night and leaves the computer running, the next morning when she logs back on, she normally(but not always) get's and error that says her profile could not be loaded and she gets a default desktop, but still has access to our domain server. If she restarts she gets no error and she gets the proper desktop. I am not using roaming profiles. I have a win2003 server. Any thoughts on what might be causing this and how I might fix it?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What events are in the XP event logs? YOu may need to enable all auditing to get the info.

I'll let you know on Wednesday. Thanks

Auditing is on, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Nothing that I could see that had anything to do with the profile problem.

your NIC is going to sleep - take off "turn this device off to save power" under device properties and also disable the hbernate and poewr saver modes both in xp and BIOS
