Promoting a Domain controller

I have two servers with Windows 2003.
The primary domain needs to be re-install. The second serverver is domain controller.
Since the primary domain controller is going to be down I need to promote the second server to be the PDC but I am not sure how to. Besides running DCPROMO.EXE, what do I need to do with Active Directory since there was a previous PDC?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

After you run DCPROMO  you will have to Transfer the FSMO Roles to your New Server.;en-us;324801
You will have to make it a global catalog server

You will probally have to resetup DHCP (if it was on your other server)
