Determine index of a control array element that has focus?

Does anyone know how to determine the index of a control array element that has focus?  I'm using VB6.  I need more than Screen.ActiveControl.Name.

Looking forward to your answers!  N.B. Promise to score the answer that works with an 'A'.

You can use code like this to determine the index of the active control... This is for a control array of textboxes with the common name Text1

    If LCase(Me.ActiveControl.Name) = "text1" Then
        MsgBox "Index is " & Me.ActiveControl.Index
    End If
