Event ID 9098 - Errors with Exchange
Hi guys, i'm back...
I'm having the following problems with Exchange. I have not configured it yet, i had just installed it as it's parts of server 2003. I'm getting the following errors in the event log: The following errors are what i'm getting. I am reading a book for exchange but i'm not done and don't want to play with it untill i know what i'm doing. But i would like to remove these errors from the log
The MAD Monitoring thread was unable to read its configuration from the DS, error '0x80040154'.
Event sink registration for SMTP virtual server /LM/SMTPSVC/1 failed. Error code is 80041002.
Metabase Update failed replication 5 times with error 80041002. Please change the diagnostic logging level of MSExchangeMU to 'minimum' or greater to find the source of the problem.
These are all exchange problems that i'd like to clear since it's filling up my event log.
Steve.

Steve.
Sorry . . . not a Dell installation fan. Never once had I ordered a Dell server that didn't need to be redone . . . . never once. To simplify things, I'd wipe it and install it myself. It's not that big a deal, and it will work.
This issue is also addressed in Exchange Server 2003 SP2, released 10/19/2005.
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press ENTER.
2. Type cd \windows\system32, and then press ENTER.
3. Type regsvr32 oleaut32.dll, and then press ENTER.
Please provide more details like: OS version / whether you are upgrading or a fresh install ?
