"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can't do any of these with awt.

Yup, you need Swing (JMenuItem) - make sure you don't mix AWT and Swing. Better to go with either only Swing or only AWT.

I want to write toolbar in AWT , please help me .
to achieve something like JToolBar, You may create Panel, with Buttons, Labels, and so on, and later add the panel to Your container. Initialy there is no toolbar component in AWT.
