To create an alias for a website just create an A record in your DNS with the alias pointing to the IP address of your website<br />

eg. you should have:<br />
<br />
actual_server_name &nbsp;--&gt; &nbsp;x.x.x.x (actual IP address)<br />

alias_name &nbsp;--&gt; &nbsp;x.x.x.x<br />

otherwise there's a registry hack that will give your server 2 machine names....<br />

create the key OptionalNames (REG_MULTI_SZ) and give it the netbios name of the alias you want to give the server - viola - the machine now has 2 names.<br />
