Problem connecting to database
Hello,
Some Lotus script was written to connect to an Oracle database via ODBC. The call procedure has been working fine. However yesterday we started to recieve the follwoing error ....
Error occurred .... 720 : LS:DO -ODBC could not complete the requested operation.
We have proved the ODBC connection words as we can connect via Excel and run our query, and apparently there has been no changes made to the platforms.
Macafee has been the only thing that has been run recently.
Has anybody got any ideas what we could try ?
Thanks
Alistair

Makes me think that there is ODBC logging built in into Windows somewhere. Used to be in the ODBC properties in the Control Panel. Switch it on and see where it gets you. It might produce HUGE files, by the way.
Hey thanks! But what was in fact the problem?
It may be holding something open , so that you can not access it from the server.
Also see if you can find a program that shows the status of all ODBC connections, from the OS
I hope this helps !
