Firefox error "unable to initialize memory stream."

Hi,

have installed and used firefox many times on different systems and never have had a problem before starting it up until now.  I get message "unable to initialize memory stream" and firefox never even starts up.  I tried reinstalling it but got same error.  I ran trend micro online scan and also microsoft antispyware and came up with few items and trojans and was able to clean up.  I'm using IE6 right now but don't like to keep using it coz i also get that error that registry is corrupt so have to visit www.101registryrepair to fix it.  I don't click on it i just x out of it coz i know this actually installs spyware on system.  Any advice on firefox error?  Thanks.

Hi,

actually, i was able to fix problem already by running all spyware programs and then ran firefox and it worked.  Just strange tho' since if you have a bad spyware problem, it usually affects IE not firefox.  thanks.
