Proxy connection failed: the configured proxy server refused to establish a connection.
I have installed Presenation Server 4.0 with the web interface; setup a published desktop for usage; configured MS ISA 2000 for Citrix access. I can get to the the point of launching the publised desktop, however, after a brief connection dialog, I receive the error: Proxy Connection Failed: The configured proxy server refused to establish a connection. Any ideas?

I adjusted on browser; still same error.

I changed the client proxy setting to none in the Access Suite mgmt console, as well as setting the altaddr, and now I can connect from the inside network. From the outside, users still receive:
There is no Citrix Metaframe server configured on the specified address.
PS 4.0 box has 2 NICS, once with inside address, other with public address on DMZ.

I changed the DMZ settings to translated, and this fixes the problem for connecting remotely, however, now I cannot connect from the inside. Looked at the ica file, and it does use the outside one correctly, but I need it to use the inside address for internal usage. Maybe I am missing something on the correct use of altaddr? Thank you for your responses.

I am having the same problem but with Presentation 3.0 server.
If I set the web interface client proxy to Auto - I get "Proxy connection error: The configured proxy server cannot be found."
If I change the setting to "None" I get: "There is no Citrix Metaframe Serceron on the specified address"
My MPS is in the DMZ with a "live" address. I have 4 clients connecting and working fine. The one potential client that has an issue, has a proxy server configured.

Under tools, internet options, connections, LAN settings you should be able to adjust the proxy settings on the browser to get you in. For some reason sometimes you will need to check use a proxy server sometimes you need to uncheck it but the right sequence of checks in LAN settings should get you in.
Sorry I forgot to say this is in the internet browser of the client machine connecting to the farm.
