Moving e-mails from Outlook 2000 from one machine to the next.
I am currenty using MS Outlook 2002. I want to back up my e-mails to another computer that is also using outlook. The second computer could be stand alone our connected to some other network. How best can i copy my existing mails and what is the best format in which to copy them so i can import them unto the new system?
o_bent,
PST file is hidden, so you will have to unhide hidden files. Open any folder and go to Tools > Folder Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders".

All emails are stored in the PST file. You can export the emails using Outlook Import/Export function. Or you can copy the PST file to the other computer. Then import the exported file or PST file into the new Outlook.
Cheers!
