User.id - Administrator ID re-generation
All,
I recently established a partitioned Domino Server installation with eight servers on one box. It advised that all the user.id files for the various servers had been stored but they weren't placed in the various folders. Is there anyway to re-instate a Admin .id file from the console or anyway at all?
Thanks for your assistance,
Steven

Have you looked in the names.nsf to see if the IDs are attached to the server documents within the domino directory, you would find them under configuration?

I cannot gain access via the Domino Administrator. I set the servers up a few minutes ago but it didn't seem to generate the user.id file! It generated the cert.id and server.id but not the user.id. I need to know how to re-register the user.id, re-certify this or re-generate from the console or another way
Thanks.
Thanks.
The user id file should be attached to person doc (admininstrator) on the names.nsf, since you don't have access as the administrator do the following. Log in as the server and look at your domino directory. The way to do this is log on to the server, shut down the domino server, then go into the lotus directory and click on nlnotes.exe, and it will open like a notes client but you'll be the server. Open your domino directory and see if find the id. Good luck
The path to nlnotes.exe is something to the sort c:\lotus\domino\nlnotes.ex e if your running a windows server.
