        Dim MyCounter As New PerformanceCounter
        MyCounter.CategoryName = "Processor"
        MyCounter.CounterName = "% Processor Time"
        MyCounter.InstanceName = "_Total"

        MessageBox.Show(MyCounter.NextValue().ToString())
