installation programme

i have installed visualbasic 6 in windows XP professional editon and developed a project and i had created a setup wizard using
package &Deployment wizard, every thing is going well and setup programme is created and when i am installing the programme i am getting some errors and the programmes is not installing i am getting error as some .dll files are not found or missing and unable to install the programme. hey how i over come from this errors what is the best way to develop a setup programme in visalbasic-6 . i am selecting all supporting file that i need but still i am getting errors when installng the programe

Which ones? the error message should tell you which ones, are they really in the setup package?
Please provide more information...

The package and deployment wizard is a piece of crap.  I've had good success with Inno setup.  Before that the only way I was able to work with the wizard was to do as microsoft recomments: create the setups on a dedicated PC.  This PC has windows, VB, MDAC and nothing else (except any required software to use your network).  This box has the same windows version, service pack and MDAC version that your program is going to be installed on.  If you're installing to multiple versions of windows, for example, XP and Win2K then you need multiple dedicated PCs for building setups.  Yes it's a pain, but it's less of a pain trying to figure out why the setup won't work.
