System recovered from a serious error
Hi All,
My Problem:
I recieved a M$ error reporting message upon logging on remotely to one of my clients servers saying "system recovered from a serious error" and gave me the option to send the report to M$. I sent it and recieved a reply/webpage saying that the problem was caused by SYMEvent.sys and that Symantec Antivirus Corporation is working on a fix. The event logs show that the server shut down unexpectedly and I guess it was caused by the above.
My Question:
I cannot find anything on Symantec's website relating to this and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the same issue and/or an explanation for what has happened and/or could point me in the right direction to get this fixed. The reply I recieved from M$ gave a link to Symantec's homepage, but no further info.
Regards,
Simon
