W2K server no certain files hang, no web!
Hi,
I am running a pair of windows 2000 servers SP4 and for some strange reason they are both exhibiting strange behaviour.
There is no access to the control panel, this opens but hangs before displaying it's contents.
There is no access to some directories, such as program files and WINNT, others are ok.
There is no access to the web through a browser, however I can ping out and get in remotely.
Live update updates the virus definitions but they do not show the new date.
It sounds as though it could be virus related, but I don't see how i can investigate it, is there a recent windows update that could have caused these issues?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
