Urgent Server Problems

Our Windows 2000 server is running very slow and it will just kick itself off of the domain for no reason has anybody ever seen this before?

Just to clarify a little bit....

The server logs on to the domain OK.  After a period of time all services terminate.  When trying to log back onto the computer throught the "lock screen", the domain authentication is not working.  It is only accepting local usernames and passwords.  This is how we determined that is is getting kicked off the domain.

After getting pass the lock, the computer will not let us shutdown or log off.  It says access denied.  Windows explorer runs horribly slow.  I assume because of the loss of the domain connection.

The server is still on the network and we are able to ping it while this is happening.

Thanks for any input.
