Guys,

I came in this morning to find my main development box with a blue screen and this message:

Stop: c0000221 { bad image checksum }
The image advapi32.dll is possibly corrupt.  The header checksum does not match the computed checksum.

I though on the off chance that it might of been a memory issue, but confirmed it wasn't with one of microsoft's tools.  Only thing thats changed on it, is I installed a couple microsoft patches yesterday morning, but it ran fine all day with several reboots.  No hardware installs, and the only extra thing on that pc is that I have an external cd rom burner.  This I unplugged, as you never know, but still, no go.

Safe mode doesn't work.

I think I have to take out the hard drive and see if I can run the pc off a cdrom, so I can confirm its not the computer.  But anyone know of a way so that I can get the computer going semi ok, so that I can start dumping files to another computer?  Or will I have to remount the hdd in another computer and go that route?

Cheers all,
Kris
