I'm sure this is a common problem for everyone.  A windows install goes bad one way or another or a hard drive starts to fail so you boot up someone's hdd to backup all of their files.

Problem:  I don't have any permissions (save for Take Ownership or chaning auditing settings) for a directory that need to be backed up.  I know the permissions of the dir - a user [ who shows up as S-1-5-21... as per usual ] has Full Control of the directory.  I know the real user name and pass for that account ... I just need to authenticate with the NTFS file permissions somehow to atleast get me read access to back this directory up.

What do I do?  If i need to log into the windows install or something, i can do so with the Recovery Console, but I'm not super comfortable with the Recovery Console ... if i could log into the windows install and change the permissions of that directory, i'd be set.
