Installed Sound Blaster sound card won't work

I am using an old Dell 2300 PowerEdge server as a desktop computer. It's a pentium III processor of 596 MHz speed and has 512 MB of RAM. I bout a Creative Sound Blaster Live 24 bit  sound card and installed it in my system with all the drivers. When I check out the newly added hardware in Device manager, windows tell me everything is working properly and the Sound Blaster comes with software that allows you to do diagnostics on the setup(installation). That disgnostics worked great. However, I still don't get any sound on my machine.

Hey the wensite you provided is in German or something
download th e.iso file, burn th eimage with nero/or similar/ and place the bootable cd in your optical drive, make sure that drive is prior th elocal harddrive in the boot order in bios, check out what linux can do,if you can't have sound then it's a hardware issue/incompatibility.

Check the basics first.  Are the speakers connected properly to the back of the card?  If the speakers are powered are they plugged in and turned on?  Is the volume on the speakers turned up?  Is the volume in Windows (Start/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices) turned up?  Is the Card selected as your main output device in Sounds and Audio Devices?  That should get you started.  ;-)
I'm with Huntress on this one.
if there is any onboard sound chip you should diasable it in BIOS,so the pci creative one should work properly.
