Can not get UDPReceiver to work with Chainsaw V2

I have seen on a couple of blogs, people claiming to use Chainsaw V2 and log4net.  I can't get Chainsaw to activate its UDPReceiver.  When I send logging messages to Chainsaw it does not show them.  I know that my application is working correctly because I can view the UDP logging events with the log4net Viewer tool.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?  I have almost wasted an entire day on this!

Here is my Appender configuration for log4net:
<appender name="UdpAppender" type="log4net.Appender.UdpAppender">
  <param name="RemoteAddress" value="127.0.0.1" />
  <param name="RemotePort" value="8080" />
  <layout type="log4net.Layout.XmlLayout, log4net">
    <param name="Prefix" value="" />
  </layout>
</appender>

Here is my xml file that I load in chainsaw, this creates the UDPReceiver:

<!DOCTYPE log4j:configuration SYSTEM "log4j.dtd">
  <log4j:configuration xmlns:log4j="http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/" debug="true">
    <plugin name="UDPReceiver" class="org.apache.log4j.net.UDPReceiver">
      <param name="Port" value="8080" />
    </plugin>
 </log4j:configuration>

Thanks in advance.
