I noticed that some things didn't seem right in both serving pages and browsing pages on a Linux Slackware Server running Apache httpd and in KDE while fetching pages.  An Ethereal capture shows pages served with a maximum packet size that seems to be only 1514 bytes, and the Konqueror browser seems slow for a high speed connection.

This seems to be some setting that is limiting the packet size for port 80 and related stuff.

From what I can calculate, the maximim packet size should be near 65k bits, or 8000 Bytes, certainly not 1512 Bytes.

That seems like an MTU problem, being in the area of the popular 1492 MTU, but this is an ATM connection, not PPPoE.

Does anyone see why the packet size would be limited to only around 1500 Bytes?
