SBS2003 setup
I have a SBS2003 server. What I need to do is move my companies website and email (both externally hosted) to this server.
External Domain Name: Domain.Net
Internal Domain Name: Domain.local
server name: domainsrv.domain.local
Internal IP: 192.168.16.10
Live IP: 123.123.123.123
I have changed the DNS records at our registrar as follows:
Domainsrv.domain.net - 123.123.123.123
MX Record - domainsrv.domain.net
www - domainsrv.domain.net
I have added recepient policy to the Exchange server for DOMAIN.NET and added the smtp addresses to the individual users.
I also need to added a second email domain to the exchange server for single email account and will follow the same steps.
My question is have I missed anything? I added DNS zones to the SBS2K3 server to reflect the extra domains the Exchange server is responsible for, but I don't think I need to do I?
I have open the ports on the firewall to point to the internal server IP.
Have I missed anything?

What you want to do is create port forwarding and access control lists. Forward requests in your allowed ACL to the external IP of the server.
This way you only allow what you want to enter your network. A firewall between the router and the LAN would be the better solution. You can use ISA if you have Premium - then you can Server Publish the Exchange server and be confident that's all that the outside world can talk to.
