I have the following:

INSERT INTO tblTestName ( Site_Designator )
SELECT tblShelterNames.Site_Designator
FROM tblShelterNames LEFT JOIN tblTestName ON tblShelterNames.Site_Designator = tblTestName.Site_Designator
WHERE ((([tblShelterNames]![Select_Site])=-1));

It inserts what I want it to insert but it adds a new record with the data that it inserts.  It does not insert the data on the row.

I tell you this:  both tables have checkboxes.  If tblShelterNames (Main Table) is checked, it should add the site_designator to all the records checked in tblTestName.  This is a Many (tblTestName) to One (tblShelterNames) relationship.

How do I get the data tblShelterNames (one field with data) on the rows that are checked in the tblTestName table (many fields with data)?

All my questions is very urgent as I'm trying to meet a deadline.
