TCP/IP Printer Issue
Currently I have a printer on a JetDirect. It can print from all 4 PC's in my office, however, on a 5th machine, I have added the printer and everything goes smoothly except the printer will not print.
I have tried:
Restarting the computer
Disabling all A/V / Firewalls
Deleting and Reinstalling the printer
If i share the printer off another computer, it prints no problem. It has printed through the TCP/IP Port previously. The user claims nothing has changed on the computer.
Any suggestions?

yeah that will work, but if it's a routing problem then he will have to go through all the hassle of configuring ipx routing... unless you really have a need for it you dont want to use ipx on your network.
The suggestion from sohocs will probably work... but its a case of adding protocols that you do not need, its a workaround..
best bet still is to check if you can communicate with the JD from the affected pc...ping it first and then try telnet or open the ews.....
remember there is also an acl in most jetdirect cards/boxes these days may someone have enabled that and only added the required computers???
worth a look...
anyhow if you can get comms from the affected pc, remove the current port, uninstall jetadmin, (if its present) and install the Install Network Printer Wizard from the link above, it will give you the most updated tcp/ip port... HP's version not the one that MS include with the OS, which is a bit older than the one HP use...
