I have 3c857 (3com) broadband router, and a user was fired and changed the password. Now I cannot reset the router using the procedure described by 3com: 1. unplug power, 2. disconect all cables, 3. plug a direct cable between a lan port and a modem, 4. turn on router, 5. wait for the alert blinks 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off etc etc. <br />
The alert does not blink slowly, it blinks always at same rate (fast) then the router is operative, so I cannot reset it.<br />
The router works properly, but I need to change password and check other settings.<br />
Please do not guess an answer.
