Here is a sql statment that works great to get me the Topic Name followed by the total number of associated entries next to the name ie:

Topic Name 1 [10]
Topic Name 2 [4]
Topic Name 3 [23]

SELECT A.topicName.*, COUNT(*)
FROM tblTopics A INNER JOIN tblComments B
    ON A.topicID = B.topicID
WHERE A.topicCatID = 5
GROUP BY A.topicName;

But...when I try to order it by adding ORDER BY postDate DESC it breaks up the GROUP BY and I can't get the number of associated entries anymore.

What can I do to keep the results I have, yet have it ordered by date DESC?
