Cisco T3 Card Testing Question
Hey Everyone,
Quick (and probably dumb) question.
Let's say I have (2) 3800 Cisco Routers on my desk with Serial T3 cards installed. I want to verify that the cards are working and configured correctly before I send them out to their future locations. Now, with Ethernet, I can just connect crossover cables and get the connection. Can you do this with the Serial T3 cards? I wasn't sure if you needed CSU/DSU's on each end or should I just be able to connect the Rx/Tx connections and have connectivity. I've done that, I get link lights but I cannot ping from one card to another (there are no ACL's) nor can I ping the card directly from the router itself.
Setting the cards to lookback local works and I can ping the cards within themselves, so I guess that is something.
