System Requirements for Photoshop CS2 question

We have 5 systems that recently were upgraded from Photoshop CS to the CS2 version. They are running 2.4Ghz Celeron processors with Windows XP SP1, 680MB RAM. Based on the information from Adobe our computers match all the requirements except for the processor which lists Intel Xeon, Xeon Dual, Centrino, Pentium class III or 4. Does anyone have an opinion on the Celeron processors with the newer Photoshop software? Our users are running into problems of the software locking up on them and blank windows where you can tell there are buttons but not sure what they are for. I hope I have supplied enough information, if not, please let me know.

Thanks!!

In addition to the RAM, you may also want to check out the scratch disk setup... PS version of the swap file.  I have a seperate 20GB drive that is dedicated as a scratch disk for PS - makes a huge difference when working on very large files.

I also have a seperate 20GB drive for temp files and the windows page file.  The drives were from successive upgrades to the computer, and even with 2GB of RAM - setting the swap drives seperate from the boot drive and programs made a visible difference in performance and reliability.

Thanks for the grade and points. Glad to help.
