Exchange 5.5 with Outlook 2003
We have several users who are using Outlook 2003 to connect to Exchange 5.5. There is one particular user who is having an issue with his address book.
Rather then showing just his Contacts and GAL, it shows the Site, Server, and Recipients lists also. This is after he has his email open, but not actively using it. He gets the following error:
"The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
If he gets out of his address book and then goes back into it, it looks and functions normally...

This is a problem with outlook losing it's connection with the GC. I would look at the GC and check the event log which should indicate a problem. Also check the local machine Event Log to verify the problem.

Events logs do not show any info...

Figured it out... Had to reset TCP/IP stack using:
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
at command prompt...
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
at command prompt...
