How 2 give files an 'expiration date' in a windows environment

i need a solution to protect ALL type of files in an windows environment (give them an exiration date!). The M$ Digital Rights Management were the right way, but seems only work with media files - but the solution i seek should work with any type of files or application (eg. CAD-Files).

Any Ideas?
