I have a linksys BEFW11S4 V4 Wireless B router that I upgraded the firmware on for WPA compatability. I am using a Dell Latitude C610 with Win XP Pro SP2 and a Dell Truemobile 1150 mini-pci card. According to Dell, the 1150 is WPA compliant. I cannot for the life of me get the laptop to acquire an IP address. I have used the MAC filter alonew because when I used WEP, the wireless card kept disconnecting every 30 or so seconds. I really would like to lock down my network. Please, on this issue treat me like a moron and spell out for me what I am doing wrong.
