Global Catalog Server not found
I am in a serious pickle. I have 1 DC, a Windows Server 2003 box that has been running fine for 1 year. I was bringing up a 2nd server to act as a 2nd DC. I brought it up 1 week ago and it never replicated properly -- never created the SYSVOL or NETLOGON shares. I did some researching in MS and found a registry key to add (I don't remember the exact name right now - Journal ... that needed to be set to 1). I did that and then all hell broke loose. I am now in the following situation:
1. My existing DC - JumboJack - is no longer responding as a PDC or Global Catalog Server.
2. No other servers - Slyder (my new server) or DoubleDouble (my Win2K Exchange Server) can connect to the domain
When I run DCDiag I get "A Global Catalog Server could not be located - all GC's are down" under the FSMOCheck test.
HELP!!

No, it was not that simple! I had to call Microsoft and spend $245 and 4 hours on the phone with Indian tech support to get this resolved. It is, actually, a very simple fix. Here is the link:
