OTG/Legato/EMC MediaStor versus DiskXtender media mismatch.

Hi guys.

I have a fun one for you.

Have a server, an a Plasmon D series 120.  Plasmon D-120 DVDRAM Jukebox Library (red door.)

In Mediastor, I show the DVDs loaded fine, however in Diskextender, it says the Media are offline, but shows the shelf it's on. It appears the registry might be corrupted for these media entries.

Does anyone know how to fix this ? Does anyone know how to resync these?

Thanks!

I've ran the inventory so far, remove media from jukebox and readded, moved the media to a free shelf and then back using media manager...

Uhm... ideas?

I'm trying to avoid doing obvious things like that, for the simple reason of cost.

I'm considering that a last resort.

Any other ideas?
For this kind of mission critical  data, you really should have a maintenance contract in place in advance so that you do not have to worry about cost.

I would suggest that you put this in place ASAP, f this is a critical component.

Don't tell me things I already know. Let's say I am one pepsi can in a pepsi bottling warehouse. I'm sure the people in the company above me will fix it for me, since I've escalated it, and at some point that would be a three-way call with EMC (now owns Legato who now owns OTG.)

THat being said, if you don't have something technical for me to try, don't speak.
I also tried rotating the mags in the library and reinventorying... No luck there. There has to be some provision in the oil for resyncing MS and DX.
Interestingly enough it's a bug in DiskXtender 2000 5.60.09. The patch from EMC fixed it. Welcome to pointville, population you bro.
