Exchange 2000 in Windows 2003 environment.

We are currently running exchange 2000 in an Windows 2000 AD setup.  Already have a number of 2003 member servers, and as soon as we put new hardware in the two branch offices that are running 2000 DCs, we want to upgrade to a Windows 2003 AD....but, for a variety of reasons, not upgrade to Exchange 2003 at this time.

Question:  does Exchange 2000 play well with Windows 2003 AD?  Do I need to make any changes to Exchange 2000 before, during or after a Windows 2003 AD upgrade?  Any gotchas that I should watch out for/ take care of in advance?

Please don't post links to endless articles....I'd like the benefit of the experience of those with direct experience of this setup.

It works fine. Exchange 2000 is fully supported in a Windows 2003 AD. You just can't upgrade the server that's running Exchange 2000 to Windows Server 2003 until you've upgraded Exchange to 2003. ie Exchange 2000 is not supported on Windows Server 2003.

You don't need to make any changes to Exchange 2000 before, during or after the Windows 2003 AD upgrade.

Thanks for the imput.....exactly the kind of "gotcha" heads up that I was looking for.  Would one of you also please post in the pointer question at:

and I'll close it too.

I held off closing this for a few days....thought first of the month points might be more useful that last of the month ;-)
