Tried to post this under IIS Web Topic but was advised to move it here...
I have developed a web application using VS.NET 2003 and now I would like to move the project out of the development environment onto a machine which will host the aspx pages locally under IIS. (I've never done this) The aspx pages have VB.NET codebehind. The project runs fine within VS but after moving everything to the host machine, I can't seem to compile.
I have tried different methods of compiling such as:
vbc /t:library /out:bin\WebForm2.dll /r:System.dll /r:System.Web.dll WebForm2.aspx.vb
to compile an individual codebehind file and have also tried compiling all codebehind files into a main dll using:
vbc /t:library /out:bin\mainDLL.dll /r:System.dll /r:System.Web.dll *.vb
Note that these are sample command lines and the paths are generic. When I try to compile using either method, I get errors claiming that all kinds of things aren't declared, defined, etc.
I just need to compile the .vb codebehinds into .dll(s) so the aspx pages will load properly. What am I doing wrong? If I can get a working solution quickly it is worth even more points.
