AD Un installation Issues ??
I tried installing DNS and Active Directory ( AD ) a while ago and DNS seemed to install fine through the add / remove windows components and then I used the dcpromo tool to install AD but it was saying that DNS was not configured correctly or some bs.
Anyways the dcpromo tool gave me 3 radio buttons / options and I chose the 2nd option which was to install AD using the wizard. Anyway AD seemed to install fine and the wizard did whatever it did behind the scenes.
Now my problem is that I am trying to get rid of AD via the dcpromo tools and it comes to the partitions section of my AD and you check the box to delete all partitions and then it comes to a password screen where it asks you to enter a password.
I have tried enetering 40 or so different passwords each time making them longer and longer because regardless of what I enter I keep getting the same error message which is something along the lines of :
"The password you entered does not meet the minimum password length in the password policy of this machine"
Can someone please give me a guide on how to get rid of AD and DNS and how to get past this stupid password issue.

BTW: when you install this, be sure from the start to create a password that follows the default complexity and length requirements for 2003... this will certainly help resolve these issues..

I have only entered one password which was the admin account password and I know what that is and other then this password prompt screen I have not had any other issues with regards to passwords or entering new passwords.

Taking into consideration I am completely new at this DNS , AD stuff I have no dammed clue what the hell to do or what any of this means.

Personally, rather than try to clean this up, (depending on your user database) why don't you just wipe this out and start fresh, and make sure that you follow the wizards?
