Two gamepads with one usb port

I just got a new gamepad but theres a problem

It's actually 2 gamepads and
the first one has a usb port and a wire connecting to the second gamepad
it installs fine

but in the gamepad controllers (control panel)
only the first one(the one with the usb port) work
the second one doesn't

btw they show up as two different gamepads, and always only the first one works

heres some pictures to show what i mean

heres a picture of the pads

the name in the game controllers(2X) is
Twin USB Digital Gamepad

the name in the device manager(2X) is
HID Compliant Game Controller

btw the manufacturer's site has no drivers whatsoever

How are you testing it?

If you go into the Game controller configuration, do both work?

ASKER

in the game controller configuration, on the dialog that has those buttons and axis,
the window for the first gamepad works
the window for the second gamepad does not work (as in the buttons highlight when i press them)

i know the windows for each even though they have the same name because if i go into the device manager, and disable the first one, only one window will show up in the game controller configuration (for the second gamepad) and still wont work

i know this sounds complex but, simply put, the second gamepad/second gamepad's driver/second gamepad's connection/whatever just doesn't work

btw i thought it might be a usb power/bandwith issue, but even with other devices(mouse/webcam/even another gamepad) the first will work plugged or unplugged

after much speculation, i decided to cut the usb cord and see maybe if it wouldve worked with another usb port

but after opening the first controller, i saw that one of the wires were broken off
so i got it back on and now it works perfectly
glad to hear you fixed.
no software will ever fix a broken wire! ;)
